Sharing Skills & Experience
The Borough Market is a founding member of the DTA With its national network of development trusts, the DTA is in a particularly good position to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience across the community enterprise sector. With support from the Big Lottery Fund, and now from the Home Office, the DTA has implemented a Knowledge & Skills Exchange Programme, to ensure that good practice is shared more widely across the network and to enable development trusts to access this learning more easily. So far, the DTA has provided knowledge and skills exchange grants to some 50 development trusts to help them carry out visits, trainings and events. With support from the Monument Trust, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and others, the DTA also contributed to the launch of the Community Enterprise Diploma and Masters course at Cambridge University’s Judge Institute of Management in 2002.
