On 30th October, Community Alliance in the North West held a very successful event in the Gujarat Hindu Society in Preston:
Sailing to Success – Recognising a Community Anchor When You See It
This was an information and networking event for members of bassac, Community Matters, Development Trusts Association, people from community groups and supporters and funders of community anchors.
The Aims and objectives of the day were:
To showcase regional examples of community anchors
To inspire the use of the community anchor concept in their work
To highlight the benefits of community anchors
To provide an opportunity for members to share experiences, learn from others and to network
