Programme overview
The Advancing Assets for Communities programme is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government. The Development Trusts Association is leading the delivery of the programme in partnership with the Local Government Association, Action for Communities in Rural England and Community Matters.
The programme is a key component of work that is being progressed by the Asset Transfer Unit, which is delivered by the DTA in association with Community Matters and the Local Government Association.

- Advancing Assets for Communities - Round Four The fourth round of the Advancing Assets for communities programme is now open for Expressions of Interest.
- Advancing Assets for Communities - Round Three We are pleased to announce the launch of the programme's third round, through which we will demonstrate in 22 selected areas how local authorities and community-led third sector organisations can be supported to develop joint plans for community asset transfer.
- Advancing Assets for Communities - Round Two The second round of the Advancing Assets for Communities Programme was launched in Spring 2008. The programme is supporting 30 local authorities in England and their third sector partners to develop joint plans for asset transfer with a view to implementing them.
- Demonstrating community asset transfer One year on, much learning can be gained from the success of the first 20 pilot projects of the Advancing Assets for Communities programme. Read case study examples from these projects and the programme report.
