what do we mean by poverty? what does it have to do with development trusts? In this section we have collected some articles and reports that explore different intepretations of poverty and the role development trusts can play in tackling its effects at the local level. While some of the dynamics of poverty are inextricably linked to national and global economic processes, local intervention remains a key component of anti-poverty action.

Development trusts are based in some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the UK and have a real potential to bring wealth and opportunities for local people.
