East End Fair Finance In 2000, The Environment Trust pioneered a programme of work in deprived areas of East London to tackle financial exclusion.

Kiveton Park & Wales Kiveton Park & Wales Community Development Trust (KPWCDT) was set up in 1997 in response to the closure of the colliery, and to breathe new life into the community. One of their latest projects involves trading on the internet.

Acumen Community Enterprise Development Trust In 2004 Easington (County Durham) was the seventh most deprived district in the whole of the UK. Many families in the area suffered from poor health and unemployment, drug issues, and severe housing problems. For Kate Welch, one of the main issues has been about poverty of aspirations.
