The DTA works together with the Judge Institute of Management at Cambridge University in supporting the MSt course in Community Enterprise.

This part-time Master of Studies degree course is for managers and senior managers of social and community enterprises. The aims of the course are to:

- Enable senior staff in organisations involved in community enterprise, social business and community regeneration to develop leadership and management skills through participation in an intellectually rigorous and practically relevant course.
- P rovide participants with a framework for critical evaluation of strategic needs and contexts for implementation in the work of their organisations.
- F oster a strong understanding of the Community Enterprise culture and its context.
- Develop an understanding of ways of achieving self-sufficiency and sustainable business practices in organisations with social aims

The target group is managers and senior managers of social economy organisations, e.g. social and community enterprises, development trusts, settlements and similar agencies. A small number of places are also available for students from co-operatives, housing associations and charities. We aim for a diverse intake - bearing in mind, for example, the under-representation at senior levels in this sector of people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds.
