The Knowledge and Skills Exchange Programme

We believe that people learn best from seeing real examples and sharing ideas with those that have practical experience. This is why we want to help development trusts make the best use of peer-learning opportunities that exist within our movement.

This programme is designed to ensure that good practice is shared more widely across the development trusts movement and to enable development trusts to access this learning more easily.

How much is available?

We will pay a maximum of £750 for one organisation to visit another and £1000 for multi-organisation events.Grants for multi-organisation events may be paid half up front and half in arrears.

There are no deadlines; applications will be assessed continuously on a first come first served basis.

Who is eligible?

This programme is open to DTA full and emerging members.

What it can be used for?

We will support activities which promote the exchange and dissemination of good practice.For example, this may include:

  • Visiting other projects to look at best practice
  • Hosting a visit for a number of organisations
  • A training or away day for a group of organisations
