Applying for the K&SE Fund

How to apply:

Simply download an application form and return it to Glenn Arradon by email, or by post to:

If you need help with identifying a host organisation, please contact regional staff from your network organisation.

Who will make the decision and how?

Decisions will be made by a member of the DTA Board following recommendation from the DTA Information & Membership Officer. The fund is available on a first come first served basis, however, if demand is high, the DTA reserves the right to select applicants on the strength of their application and based upon the following criteria (in order of importance):

(1) suitability of host organisation in relation to the identified knowledge gap
(2) evidence of multiple benefits (e.g. number of people involved, planned activities, two-way exchange, etc.)
(3) financial need

We will aim to make a decision within two weeks of receiving the application; payments will be sent out shortly after an application is approved. Wherever possible, payments will be made upfront for single visits; grants for multi-organisation events will be paid half up front and half in arrears. Applications that are unsuccessful will be notified immediately after a decision is made.

What do we need in return?

After the exchange we require you to complete a short narrative report explaining what was achieved through the exchange (which we may choose to display on the website), and a breakdown of how the money was spent backed up with receipts.

We may also ask you to answer a short questionnaire three months after the exchange/event in order for us to evaluate the impact of the programme.
