The Development Trusts Association, with close involvement from key stakeholders the Local Government Association and Community Matters, will set up and manage a new Asset Transfer Unit that will offer independent advice to local people and councils to help community groups take control of under-utilised land and buildings and put them to better use for the benefit of the community. The Unit is supported with funding from the Department for Communities and Local Government and will be operational from January 2009.
The Development Trusts Association is inviting expressions of interest to tender for two contracts to provide:
- A corporate identity for the Asset Transfer Unit
- A website for the Asset Transfer Unit (to be operational by January 1 2009)
The appointment(s) will be by a process of competitive tender. Expressions, in the form of a letter with the tenderer’s submission and additional supporting information which is outlined in the complete Invitation to Tender package should be submitted in writing to Tina Winders, Director of Finance and Corporate Services, Development Trusts Association, 33 Corsham Street, London N1 6DR.
