Surviving and Thriving: Local Solutions to the Global Crisis

As recession starts to bite, as the poverty gap widens, as more and more people are left behind – who will step up to the challenge? What do we offer our movement of community organisers, problem-solvers, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, people driven by faith, by no faith, by anger, by compassion, by bloody-mindedness… by desire to do, by visions of small changes that change everything, by a deep sense of common purpose?

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

Clifford Rosenthal, National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (USA)
Peter Holbrook, Sunlight Development Trust and Social Enterprise Ambassador
Stan Thekaekara, Just Change India
Tony Kendle, Eden Project
Rob Hopkins, Transition Towns

Plus a series of practitioner-led workshops and seminars looking at ground-breaking community projects from across the UK and visits to leading development trusts in London.

A full conference programme with further details on the workshops, visits and seminars, will be made available shortly.
