Advancing Asset Transfer - Implementing the Quirk Review

A series of one-day seminars with national and regional experts

The seminars will be of particular interest to local authority officers and elected members responsible for asset management, procurement, community services, planning, regeneration and economic development. Also those working in the public, private or voluntary sector to support and develop third sector organisations in their region.

These seminars will enable you to:

  • Hear how community asset transfer can form part of a strategic approach to local authority and other public sector assets
  • Learn from other councils about how to manage the transfer of management, and sometimes ownership, of under-utilised local authority land and property to third sector organisations in order to maximise benefits and avoid pitfalls.
  • Learn more about the types of funding available
  • Contribute towards the ‘risk management toolkit’ being prepared as part of the follow up to the Quirk Review
